Training with the RMS Training Services team is a sure way to learn skills and tactics to better protect yourself, your family and your business from the risk of today’s world.  Our team consists of professionals that are certified to instruct in the areas of the expertise.  This includes, certified NRA Instructors, practicing lawyers, Taser International Certified Instructors, ASP Instructors and NRA Law Enforcement Instructors.  Additionally we have instructors in a wide range of defensive tactics such as Berkoot Academy and Don’t Be a Victim certified instructors.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting (Instructor Led)

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! The course is the first steps for you to obtain the proper certification for your concealed carry permit in some states. Be sure to contact your county, city or state to find out whether this course fulfills the requirement.

This easy-to-understand online training program allows you to go at your own pace and learn from the comfort of your own home. Simply go through the online course material, successfully complete the online exam, and you’ll receive your certificate of completion instantly.

NRA Basics of Personal Protection In The Home (Instructor Led)

This is an eight-hour course. Students should expect to shoot approximately 100 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.

Note: Lesson III of this course: Firearms and the Law, and Legal Aspects of Self-Defense, is conducted by an attorney licensed to practice law within the state in which this course is given and who is familiar with this area of the law, or a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) who possesses an intermediate or higher Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certificate granted within the state, or an individual currently certified to instruct in this area of the law by the state in which this course is presented.

NRA Certified Instructors may conduct this lesson only if they meet the requirements stated above and then only in their capacity as an attorney, or other state certified individual not in their capacity as an NRA Certified Instructor.

Prerequisite: This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm). Prospective participants can demonstrate that they have the requisite knowledge, skills, and attitudes by producing an NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA FIRST Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment.

Florida “Class G” Statewide Firearms Course (Instructor Led)

The course is 28 Hours in length and is mandatory attendance for all hours.  Students passing this course, including the written exam and firearms qualification, will be awarded a certificate of completion.  The certificate provides proof to the State of Florida Division of Licensing that the student has met the training requirements needed to apply for licensing.  This course does not guarantee license approval.

Prerequisite:  This course is for adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law and are of good repute.  Pre-course evaluation by the course instructor.

Florida “Class G” Statewide Firearms Re-Qualification (Instructor Led)

The course is 4 Hours in length and is mandatory attendance for all hours.  Students passing this course, including the firearms qualification, will be awarded a certificate of completion.  The certificate provides proof to the State of Florida Division of Licensing that the student has met the annual re-training requirements needed to continue licensing.  This course does not guarantee license approval and/or continuation.

Prerequisite:  This course is for adult individuals who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law and are of good repute.  Pre-course evaluation by the course instructor.

NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid becoming a victim. Seminars are held across the nation and are open to men and women of all ages. Today, hundreds of federal, state and local law enforcement officials from across the nation utilize this popular program in their crime prevention and community policing initiatives.
